Melody's New Cook Book
Fruited Pie
This collection of recipes are some I have gathered from others, some handed down from my Grandmother and some of my own.
I do love to cook and I like to freelance in the kitchen. When something comes out especially good I record it and save it.
I Hope you enjoy the book and the things you prepare from it.
Recipes and Cooking with Melody
There are a lot of things to remember when cooking. Personally I hate cook books they are very restricting and always in my way when I wish to be creative. Ok so where does that leave us? What goes good with what? It's a guessing game but if your smart, it won't take you long to figure it out. So stop and think, what will taste good with what? For instance will Onions go good with sweet potatoes? Will a red wine work with fish? The answer is simple. Normally a red wine is not served with fish. and Onions are not mixed with sweet potatoes. sweet with sweet and biter with bitter. but that rule is violated a lot. For instance mixing Rhubarb with strawberries in a pie. Ok toss the rule book out the window.
Here are some basics for creating some great dishes. But use them as basics and then go out and create!
